Once you release latches, remove the 2 screws in the center of inside tailgate cover. Remove the cover and there is two 10mm nuts to remove and two plastic clips that hold on the latch rods on each side. Don't lift the tailgate once the rods are off or they will fall down in tailgate and you will have to use a magnet to retrieve.

My tailgate handle is broken, flops around and doesn't do anything. Is this an easy fix? Do I need a new latch assembly? Please help!
